Selina sighed. He was, sadly, quite perceptive. “I don’t actually know. Are you going to come without a fight?”“Depends on where we’re going,” Sherlock replied, an inquisitive look on his face.“Hmm…” Selina sighed again. “I don’t know.”
“What do you mean?” Sherlock asked. “If you don’t know where you have to take me, then how are you supposed to?”
“What is unseen is what is most feared.”
Sherlock was a bit disoriented, now. He made his way to the armchair, and sat down, still wary.
She sat down next to the chair, a new goal in mind. “Did you ever think that you’d drive yourself crazy some day? That, maybe you’d make an imaginary friend of sorts? You’ve been fooling yourself this whole time. It’s a game, Sherlock. One you’ve succeeded in escalating to me.”
Sherlock steepled his fingers in thought. “I trust what my senses tell me. I do not fool myself.”
The voice beside his chair came from a slightly lower level. His invisible watcher had sat down.
